In this "screenshot" we get a glimpse of what may have happened if the Starship Enterprise sported Windows machines. I don't consider myself a trekky, nor do I own a Mac, but I can't help but get a chuckle from this well done image.
I think one reasons this works is that it takes two sets of conventions that are widely known (the original Star Trek & Windows error messages) and combines them in an unexpected way.
ReplyDeleteIn a sense, it's using a collage method (combining things from disparate backgrounds in the same space) but for a humorous, rather than an unsettling effect.
